Gail Kim's firing by TNA has been met with "shock, disbelief, and anger" by wrestlers in the promotion and the decision reportedly taken by TNA President Carlos Silva was a "unanimously unpopular move", according to Fightful Select.

Such is the anger around Kim's firing that one talent has reportedly decided they won't be remaining with TNA Wrestling when their contract is up. Others, meanwhile, have said they are scared for their jobs.

Gail Kim's firing came about on Tuesday, March 25 as part of a backstage shake-up in TNA, with the likes of Ariel Shnerer, Rafael Morffi, and Rob Klingman also being let go. Gail Kim was a legend of TNA and had been with the company across multiple runs since 2005, working as a producer and in talent relations in recent years.

With Kim's firing, Tommy Dreamer has been moved to a talent relations role in addition to his position on the creative team. Delirious is now the head of TNA creative.

Kim was reportedly informed of her firing by TNA President Carlos Silva. He did not give her a reason outside of there being "changes." There was immediately heat on Silva over the firings.

While many were shocked by Kim's firing, at least one person noted to Fightful they weren't surprised by Kim's exit as she had been outspoken creatively and would sometimes butt heads with those in power, with one person noting she would advocate for a better show. It was stated that Kim was direct with her complaints.

Several talents publicly expressed their unhappiness over Gail Kim's firing but the reaction was reportedly even worse privately. Even beyond TNA, there was a lot of shock and disbelief within the industry to Kim's firing.
