Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May is nearing the end of her AEW contract, with May’s deal reportedly set to expire in Summer 2025.
Per a report from Fightful Select, May is believed to be in a contract year with AEW, with several sources inside the company inferring that May’s deal is indeed set to expire come Summer.
It is not known if May’s contract has option years attached to it, although it has been claimed that it would be shocking if it didn’t due to the nature of May’s push since she arrived in the company despite being on such a short deal.
The ‘Glamour’ signed with AEW in November 2023 after months of rumours linking May with a move to the promotion. Since her debut, May has been pushed strongly, first winning the Owen Hart Foundation tournament in Summer 2024, then after turning on kayfabe mentor Toni Storm, May would defeat the ‘Timeless’ one to lift the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In Wembley II in August 2024.
May's programme with Storm over the AEW Women’s World Championship ended with a critically lauded and bloody Hollywood Ending match at the recent Revolution 2025 pay-per-view. This came only weeks after May dropped the belt back to Storm at Grand Slam Australia.
