Doug Williams Coming Out Of Retirement

The UK star is lacing his boots once more

Doug Williams today announced on his Twitter account that he is coming out of retirement.

The former TNA X Division Champion took a hiatus in 2018, returned in 2019, and had his last match in February 2020, with many assuming the 48-year-old had called it a day.

Williams Tweeted:

“The events of the past year has made me reassess my decision to retire as it made me understand that you should use your life to fullest doing what you enjoy. As such I am open to bookings again, email is in my bio…"

Williams made his debut on the UK circuit in 1995, and is best known for his run in TNA from 2008 to 2014, where he reigned as X Division Champion on two occasions, as well as holding the TNA Tag Team Titles, and the TNA TV Title. Williams was also the second ever ROH Pure Champion, and also held Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Tag Team Titles with Scorpio, and New Japan’s IWGP Tag Team Championship with Brutus Magnus (Nick Aldis).
