Drew Gulak is back on the independent wrestling scene after being fired by WWE in early 2024 over harassment allegations, and has used this as part of an angle at Beyond Wrestling.

At a recent Beyond show on October 20, Gulak shared the ring with TNA star Masha Slamovich, with Gulak taking a mic and asking Masha if she ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe around him in the locker room, before attacking Slamovich and having a singles match.

The comments came as part of an angle in which Gulak lamented not being there for former protege Kimber Lee, and drew on real life allegations made by Ronda Rousey, with Rousey alleging that Gulak acted inappropriately toward her during her time in WWE. Gulak was released by WWE shortly after the allegations came to light, although WWE did not explicitly state if his exit was due to Rousey’s accusations.

The angle has unsurprisingly drawn ire and backlash from the wrestling world, with Gulak’s using of real life sexual harassment allegations seen as trivialising assault. Despite this, AEW star Max Caster seemingly gave the angle his thumbs up on X/Twitter, saying ‘love this’ before also being condemned for his take on the matter.

Per Fightful, Beyond Wrestling promoter Drew Cordeiro has not responded publicly to questions and backlash following the upload of the angle.
