ECW Legend Planned For WWE NXT Taping At 2300 Arena

WWE NXT’s upcoming trip to the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia is sure to be an extreme night, with an ECW original planned to be appear at the arena.

Per a report from PWInsider, ECW original and record setting eight-time ECW World Tag Team Champion Bubba Ray Dudley is set to be in attendance for NXT, although Bubba won’t be putting anyone through a table and will instead be on hand to meet VIP ticket holders at the event as part of a package that will include a commemorative take-home chair.

Bubba has been back in the WWE fold since September 2023 after signing a WWE Legends deal. As for the 2300 Arena - aka the ECW Arena - this will be the first WWE event run in the world-famous ‘bingo hall’ since 2006, with WWE’s version of ECW running a house show in the historic venue. WWE did return to the building during WrestleMania XL for a fan event.

The tapings are surely set to be a success for WWE, with tickets selling out in around 15 minutes. If Bubba gets the urge to get in the ring and dish out some Bubba Bombs remains to be seen.
