Drew McIntyre Reacts To Re-Signing With WWE

Drew McIntyre has commented on re-signing with WWE

Drew McIntyre finally put pen-to-paper on a new WWE deal in the last week, ending months of speculation about Irn Dru’s future with the organisation.

McIntyre’s previous deal was believed to be set to expire in May 2024, although many assumed that Drew would remain with WWE due to his strong push through WrestleMania season which culminated in him winning - and quickly losing - the World Heavyweight Championship.

Taking to X/Twitter, McIntyre commented on his new deal, giving particular praise to WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H:

“I trusted @TripleH when he brought me back in 2017. And I trust him now to lead the evolution of our industry. Here’s to the future.”

McIntyre is the latest major WWE star to commit their future to the company, following in the footsteps of Charlotte Flair and Cody Rhodes, whilst the likes of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are yet to re-sign with the organisation in the face of expiring deals, but are expected to be staying put.

After losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Damian Priest at WrestleMania XL, McIntyre had taken a leave of absence from WWE house shows in order to heal up from injury.
