SPOILER: Popular Talent Returns At WWE NXT Level Up Taping

Wendy Choo returns at WWE NXT Level Up taping!

A popular talent may soon be back on WWE NXT TV.

WWE taped matches for future editions of NXT Level Up from the WWE Performance Center ahead of a live edition of NXT TV on Tuesday, April 30. The opening contest featured a return as Wendy Choo had her first WWE match in almost a year. Choo defeated Wren Sinclar at the taping with a Full Nelson Slam and the two competitors paid respect to each other following the contest.

Wendy Choo had been out of action since a May 13, 2023 NXT house show, with Fightful Select's Corey Brennan noting that Choo had been on the injured list since May 19. She had been recovering ever since but she did pop up on WWE programming in recent days, being shown sitting with other NXT talents at the WWE Performance Center during both nights of the WWE Draft.

Wendy Choo has been a part of WWE since early 2019. She previously portrayed Mei Ying, the mysterious leader of Tian Sha, until she was repackaged in November 2021 as part of the brand's transition to NXT 2.0. She has portrayed Wendy Choo ever since, a wrestler who can fall asleep at a moment's notice and performs in pyjamas.
