WWE NXT Evolve Planned To Be Level Up's Replacement
The successor to NXT Level Up may have been revealed
Jan 4, 2025
It was revealed late last month that the weekly’s NXT show ‘Level Up’ was getting cancelled. Level Up took the place of the former weekly cruiserweight show ‘205 Live’ back in February 2022, showcasing names on the WWE developmental brand, until it was brought to an end in December 2024.
Although it was previously believed that WWE’s LFG show would be taking over from Level Up, a new report has suggested that something brand new named ‘NXT Evolve’ will be debuting soon.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT Evolve will be introduced in a few months, and not immediately at the start of the year. It will be led by Gabe Sapolsky (who was brought back into WWE by Triple H in 2022 after having previously been let go by the promotion under the Vince McMahon era), and it will take up a similar role to Level Up. It will feature names from WWE’s developmental system who are not regular fixtures on NXT programming, but instead of just showcasing matches, NXT Evolve is expected to feature angles and promos, being presented more like a weekly television event.
