Mei Ying Repackaged As Wendy Choo On WWE NXT 2.0

Mei Ying is no more

Mei Ying has officially been repackaged on WWE NXT 2.0.

It was revealed last month that Karen Q - the woman behind Mei Ying - would no longer be using the gimmick on NXT 2.0 and she resurfaced on the developmental brand on Tuesday.

Q appeared on NXT 2.0 as Wendy Choo in a backstage segment where she woke up on a sofa while a sleeping mask covered her eyes. The segment primarily focused on Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta, though, with Hartwell discovering that Dexter Lumis had gone missing from the hospital.

Mei Ying hadn't appeared on TV since losing to Indi Hartwell on the October 5 episode of NXT 2.0. If Choo will feud or align with Hartwell and Pirotta remains to be seen.

The repackaging of Ying came as somewhat of a surprise as Triple H and Shawn Michaels were high on the supernatural character earlier this year and they believed it had a long-term future on the then-black and gold brand. NXT was rebranded as NXT 2.0, though, and the character was swiftly dropped following Xia Li's move to the main roster.
