On Sunday, WWE cemented Drew McIntyre as one of the company's top stars. After entering at the Men's Royal Rumble match at #16, The Scottish Psychopath quickly eliminated WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and went on to outlast 29 other Superstars and win the whole thing.
After punching his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania 36, McIntyre had an interview with
Jonathan Snowden at Bleacher Report. While
WWEdecided the former Intercontinental Champion would win the Rumble on January 14, McIntyre revealed he found out just hours before the pay-per-view began. He explained this was quite normal in WWE and that he had gotten used to going with the flow.
The Scotsman said: "I didn't know anything yesterday. I'm talking about today late. I've learned through my experience just to go with the flow. And when you get information, you take it and you perform it to the best of your ability. That's why I always say sports entertainers, wrestlers, don't get the credit we deserve. You've got to be thinking on your feet, you've got to be ready to improve, and you're doing your own stunts. You've got to pull the emotions of the crowd in the direction you want them to go. And there is no business like this. We literally think on our feet."
