Dustin Rhodes is winding down his in-ring wrestling career, and it seems ‘The Natural’ wants to purchase an old part of his identity before he hangs up his boots.

With Rhodes set to retire within the next few years, the current ROH World Tag Team Champion has begun planning his eventual retirement match, and during an interview with the Battleground Podcast he revealed his hopes at walking to the ring to his old WCW theme:

"I kind of just want to, I’ve come full circle and I want to be ‘The Natural.’ On my last match, I want my old theme from the WCW days. I’m trying to purchase the rights right now for it because it’s very memorable music," said Rhodes.

Earlier in the interview, Rhodes stated he has an ideal opponent in mind, but has not publicly revealed who just yet, with the former Goldust wanting a blow-off similar to that of Sting:

"I have had this planned the last couple of years of who I want to finish up with. That's going to take place in three years. It's going to be tough to step away. By no means am I anywhere on Sting's level, but I want that same kind of out. I think I've earned it," said Rhodes

Rhodes signed a new deal with AEW/ROH in late 2024. As well as the ROH World Tag Team Championships, Rhodes is also a current ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion with The Von Erichs.
