During a recent appearance on The Steve Dangle Podcast, Edge tipped Roman Reigns as someone he thought he could have a great match with.
"Roman Reigns. For years, I'd been saying - especially when Jay and I had our podcast - he was getting all kinds of flak and I never understood it, because I know how talented that guy is. I could see the guy that was in there that just wasn't allowed to come out, character-wise. He was a guy that I always saw and thought, 'Man, what I could do with that guy,'" Edge said,
The Big Dog wasn't the only Superstar Edge mentioned, though, and The Rated-R Superstar also placed a spotlight on Cesaro, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles.
"But there's loads of them, there really is," Edge continued. "A guy like Cesaro, or Seth Rollins, or AJ Styles. With AJ Styles, I started in '92 and I think he started in like '96, and we've never wrestled, which is insane. We've both been in the industry so long but we were always in separate places. He was in TNA or in Japan and I was WWE my entire career. That's another aspect of it too - guys that I haven't wrestled, that I should have by now. That's really cool."
Edge may well get the chance to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 for the Universal Championship, and reports have noted this is WWE's current plan.
