Edge Removed From WWE's Internal Roster

Edge gone from WWE's internal roster

On this day, Edge was seemingly gone from WWE.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Edge has been removed from the miscellaneous section of WWE's internal roster. He is still listed on WWE.com but the 11-time world champion is no longer internally listed as being a part of the company.

Edge was removed from WWE's internal roster earlier this month and then hastily added to the miscellaneous section which features injured talents and people who have a connection to WWE, such as Steve Austin.

PWInsider noted the belief is Edge is free to sign with another company as of October 1 and there has been interest in Edge from All Elite Wrestling dating back to 2019. The latest reports have indicated that Edge is "apparently" closer than ever to signing with AEW. The belief amongst people in WWE a few weeks ago was that Edge would be heading to AEW.

Edge previously announced the final match of his WWE contract took place on August 18. WWE offered him a contract extension but the two sides were believed to be far apart on money

AEW, of course, hold their WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 1 in Seattle, Washington.
