Elias' post-WWE in-ring name has been revealed.

The 36-year-old was released by WWE as part of post-UFC merger roster cuts in September 2023. He had been a part of WWE since 2014 in various roles, even briefly portraying his own brother Ezekiel and close family in 2022, much to the annoyance of Kevin Owens.

Elias' 90-day non-compete clause has since expired and he released a video on New Year's Day showing Elias walking through a valley and then arriving and falling into his own grave as a narrator said:

"A man adorned with the trappings of fame, fortune, and glory found himself descending into the shadow valley. The resonance of his former triumphs echoed like a grand spectacle that once defined his journey. Yet, in the quiet humility of the valley's embrace, he discovered a path less travelled. A modern-day prodigal earnestly seeking a redemption from his mortal divide that transcended the fleeting accolades of earthly acclaim. The holy scriptures say that it is appointed once for man to die and then the judgment but this man needed to enter into death in order to be made righteous, renewed, and regenerated. The holy scriptures say that all of their lifetime through the fear of death men are subjected to bondage and need delivered. But death could not hold him. Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory? He himself shall be saved as though through fire."

Elias then emerged from the fiery grave to reveal his new in-ring name is Elijah. He has since been booked for Wrestling REVOLVER's WhatAShow on February 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

'Elijah' is already in use within professional wrestling on the UK independent wrestling scene by ELIJAH, who performs for the likes of RevPro, ATTACK!, New Wave Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Karnage.
