Eric Bischoff Comments On His WWE SmackDown Appearance

Bischoff involved himself in Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville's running of the show.

Eric Bischoff recently made his return to WWE TV, appearing on last week's SmackDown in a backstage segment.

Bischoff was seen advising Adam Pearce about leadership, which seemed to encourage Pearce to scold fellow authority figure Sonya Deville for her ongoing feud with Naomi. Pearce ended the segment by promising to ask "upper management" to book a match between Naomi and Deville, much to Bischoff's admiration.

Bischoff has since spoken on his 83 Weeks podcast about the appearance, stating:

“I had a blast. I’m so grateful at this stage of my life being able to pop in and reconnect with some people that I haven’t seen in a long time, hang out a little bit, and just be around it.

“Certainly getting out in front of a crowd, feeling that energy, and just being a part of it in a small way scratches the performer’s itch in me, however big or small a segment that I’m involved in is. I’m just always grateful for it. It’s a blast. I get to come home and I don’t have to do it again next week.”

Bischoff also appeared on the December 27, 2021 edition of Raw, acting as the officiator for the renewal of Miz and Maryse's wedding vows.
