Eric Bischoff Explains His Current WWE Status
Is Bischoff under a WWE contract?
Dec 9, 2024
Eric Bischoff made an appearance on last week's edition of WWE NXT, where he was involved in an in-ring segment with Ridge Holland and Trick Williams.
That wasn't the WWE Hall of Famer's only wrestling appearance of the week, however, as he also showed up at MLW One Shot.
Seeking to clarify his current WWE status during a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, the 69-year-old said:
"I did two WWE episodes. One on NXT and one for the WWE on the A&E Network. Then 48 hours later, I'm on an MLW show, who, by the way, was in a lawsuit with WWE... I don't even have a legends agreement with WWE. I don't have a written agreement with anybody. I don't even have a handshake deal with anybody. If TNA were to call me and say, 'Hey, we're doing something. We'd like you to show up'. If it fit into my schedule and it sounded fun, I'll do it".
Bischoff may be willing to work with WWE, TNA and MLW, but he has claimed he wouldn't take a job offered to him by AEW owner Tony Khan. Khan himself doesn't care about what Bischoff has to say.
At this point, the former Raw General Manager is reportedly not scheduled for any further WWE appearances.
