Eric Bischoff On Today's Wrestling: "More Often Than Not, I'm Generally Disappointed"

Easy E isn’t impressed

Due to his success in the Monday Night Wars, Eric Bischoff will always be asked his views on wrestling, and how the newer generation scan maximise their spotlight, and engage audiences.

But according to Bischoff himself, there’s a gulf between the wrestling of today, and of the past.

Speaking to Inside the Ropes during an Ad-Free Shows Q&A session, Bischoff said:

“I’m just not interested in what I see right now and I do drop in, I don’t want to suggest that I never watch it. I do watch it hoping something’s going to catch my imagination. You know, I, you know, I read, you know, Inside The Ropes, I follow you guys, as well as others, to try to get a feel for what might be going on. And if there’s something that piques my interest, I’ll tune in, and I’ll check it out. But more often than not, I’m generally disappointed.”

Bischoff has made multiple appearances for AEW in the past few years, and was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
