Eric Young Comments On IMPACT Slammiversary Return

Eric Young made his triumphant IMPACT return at Slammiversary 2023

Eric Young is once again part of the IMPACT Wrestling locker room, with the former IMPACT World Champion returning to the promotion at Slammiversary 2023.

Young had left IMPACT in late 2022 to make his return to WWE, but left WWE before making his official in-ring return, reportedly due to Vince McMahon’s return to power after the sale to Endeavor.

Taking to Twitter, ‘Showtime’ commented on his Slammiversary return, Tweeting the following:

“This felt good! This felt right! I made a hard choice and there is no doubt in my mind it was the right one!”

A two-time former TNA/IMPACT World Champion, Young’s Slammiversary return marked the beginning of his third run with the company, having originally wrestled for TNA from 2004 until 2016, then returning to IMPACT in 2020 after a four year run with WWE, primarily competing on NXT as the leader of SAnitY.

Young’s return was teased by Scott D’Amore on the pre-Slammiversary go-home edition of IMPACT Wrestling, with D’Amore needing a new tag team partner after PCO was set on fire.
