EXCLUSIVE: Moose Calls Joe Hendry 'The Next John Cena'

Moose thinks Joe Hendry can become as big as John Cena

Joe Hendry has emerged as one of the standout wrestlers of 2024, with the ‘Local Hero’ gaining legions of followers for his work in TNA, WWE NXT, and by storming the UK charts with his theme music.

The sky is seemingly the limit for Hendry though, with TNA World Champion Moose telling Cultaholic’s own Tom Campbell that he believes he can become a legit superstar in the wrestling business:

“Joe is a very hard worker and everything he's getting right now he 100% deserves. I tell Joe all the time - I'm almost like Joe's little coach in his head - I tell him all the time, ‘you're on the cusp, you're in the cusp of being the next John Cena. So just keep trucking and keep hitting wood. You know, you're you're right there.’ I mean, he's right there to be like the next John Cena. I’m so very happy for him, and it just shows that hard work pays off,” said Moose.

Hendry is set to challenge Moose for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary on July 20 in a six-man elimination match, and ahead of the bout Moose continued to heap praise on his opponent:

“Yeah, Joe is the man and I know how extremely hard he works and I'm happy that he's getting his flowers and he deserves it, but he’s not done. The funny thing is the sky is the limit. He’s just breaking through right now like he's not even hit stardom yet, everybody thinks he's hit stardom but he's not even close to it because I think when it's all said and done, he's going to be like I said, the next John Cena. That’s my opinion, but you’ll see.

“With all that said, with all the greatness he’s still getting his ass whooped at Slammiversary and I'm still walking out the TNA World Champion,” added Moose.
