Finn Balor: Dominik Mysterio's NXT North American Championship Win Was Proudest Moment In Career

Dominik Mysterio won the first singles championship of his career on the July 18 edition of NXT, when ‘Dirty Dom’ defeated Wes Lee to bring the North American Championship home to The Judgment Day.

Mysterio got the win with some assistance from stablemates Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor, and Balor has gone on Twitter to praise Dominik and reveal his pride in his young charge:

“The proudest moment of my career. Congratulations @DomMysterio35”

Mysterio is set to defend the title against Mustafa Ali at NXT’s Great American Bash on July 30, and it’s very likely that The Judgment Day will make their presence felt in Cedar Park, Texas.

WWE are reportedly very happy with Judgment Day’s recent NXT appearance and are reportedly set to feature the dominant heel faction on Tuesday nights more often moving forward.

Balor himself is no stranger to NXT, having reigned as NXT Champion on two separate occasions. It remains to be seen if Finn will go for the belt for a third reign.
