Former WWE Stars' Non-Compete Clauses Expiring Soon

Flood of free agents coming soon to pro wrestling

The pro wrestling market is about to be flooded with free agents.

WWE carried out a mass release in September 2023 following the completion of the merger with UFC under Endeavor's TKO Group Holdings. This resulted in over 20 talents being released by the company from across the main roster, NXT, and those just working at the WWE Performance Center.

Many of those talents are set to become free agents, with their non-compete clauses set to expire around December 21, according to PWInsider

Those talents include:

  • Mustafa Ali
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Aliyah
  • Shelton Benjamin
  • Rick Boogs
  • Dana Brooke
  • Dabba-Kato
  • Elias
  • Matt Riddle
  • Shanky
  • Riddick Moss
  • Mace
  • Mansoor
  • Top Dolla

Mace and Mansoor may have been let out of their WWE non-competes early as they appeared at DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling's 2nd Anniversary show on December 10, with Mace quipping that "81 was enough". Another released talent in Yulisa Leon returned to the ring in November and captured the Crash Women's Championship.

Nic Nemeth has been booked for WWC Euphoria on January 20 against Ray Gonzalez.
