Jey Uso's 'YEET' Returns On WWE Raw

Jey Uso gets his 'YEET' back

Like an alternate version of The Monkees, Jey Uso was yeeting around once again on the December 11 edition of Monday Night Raw.

WWE were briefly prevented from using 'YEET' after it emerged that independent wrestler Kasey Huffman owned the trademark for the term, having filed to use 'YEET' in pro wrestling back in 2021. This resulted in Jey Uso's 'YEET' t-shirt being blurred out on Raw.

It emerged over the weekend, though, that Huffman's application had been dismissed and Jey Uso's 'YEET' t-shirt was unblurred on Monday Night Raw. 'YEET' was also posted on social media by the WWE account, suggesting a deal had been reached.

It appears WWE and Kasey Huffman reached a settlement over the 'YEET' trademark, with The Wrestling News reporting last week that WWE were sent a cease and desist over using the term.

"The Wrestling News has learned that WWE was sent a cease and desist order last week with regards to the 'Yeet' catchphrase used by Jey Uso. Independent wrestler Kasey Huffman first applied for a trademark on the term with regards to pro wrestling in 2021. Huffman is being represented by Stephen P. New and Dusty Gwinn. The parties involved are exploring a potential resolution of the issue. The 'Yeet' catchphrase was blurred out on Uso's shirt during Monday Night Raw last night," they tweeted.

Jey Uso opened Monday Night Raw on December 11, confirming that Sami Zayn has been written off WWE TV. He then suffered a loss to Drew McIntyre, who will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship in the new year.
