Back at Backlash 2020, Edge and Randy Orton continued their rivalry in what was billed as The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. The two stars battled back and forth for 44 minutes but The Viper picked up the win after he Low Blowed his former friend and Punted him in the head.
The opening five minutes of the bout was dominated by chain wrestling, something Orton hasn't done frequently inside the squared circle for a number of years. The Apex Predator had a well-regarded tag team on hand to help him, however, as Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR told Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful Select that Orton travelled to Asheville, Georgia to work on the match with them.
Sapp noted the 13-time world champion "wanted to sharpen up his technical wrestling" and he and FTR have remained on good terms after the tag team's WWE releases.
Harwood and Wheeler previously helped Orton's opponent in The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever, Edge, when he was training ahead of his in-ring return at the Royal Rumble. The Rated R-Superstar previously revealed the three wrestlers would meet up in a secret warehouse near Edge's home and FTR would put him through his paces.
