FTR’s Dax Harwood Either Knocked Out Or Nearly Knocked Out At AEW Full Gear

Harwood was apparently rocked by Rey Fenix

After reports surfaced suggesting that Kenny Omega, Malakai Black, and Eddie Kingston all came out of AEW Full Gear injured, it seems that FTR’s Dax Harwood also suffered at AEW’s final PPV of 2021.

AEW President Tony Khan mentioned during the post-Full Gear media scrum that Harwood was a little banged up, and now a report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp suggests that this is indeed the case as they were told by AEW sources that Dax Harwood was “either knocked out or nearly knocked out about ten minutes into the match by Rey Fenix, and was sidelined for a good portion of the remainder of the match.”

Fightful stated that Fenix has a reputation for working a little stiff, and rubbed some talent up the wrong way by not checking on Harwood post-match, although Fenix doesn’t have major heat as a result, despite it being common courtesy to check-in.

The report also suggest that Harwood was meant to factor more into the ending of the match, where partner Cash Wheeler was pinned whilst not the legal man, his identity hidden by a Super Ranas mask.

Harwood being rocked during this bout would explain why he wasn’t present at the end of the Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo vs. PAC and Cody Rhodes match later on the card, as Wheeler and Tully Blanchard ran down to deliver a post-match beating, with Harwood nowhere to be seen.

Dax also revealed on his Twitter account that he went into the match with a bruised tailbone and ‘rainbow coloured ass’ after taking a backdrop on the floor during last Wednesday’s AEW: Dynamite.
