Further Details On Why WWE Booked Giulia To Lose The NXT Women's Title

Giulia isn't just dealing with an injury issue, it has been reported.

The former STARDOM star dropped the NXT Women's Championship to Stephanie Vaquer at WWE NXT Roadblock in their Title vs. Title Match. Giulia was defeated following three SSB Backbreakers from Vaquer after 11 minutes. The loss ended Giulia's NXT Women's Title reign after just 63 days, as she only won the title from Roxanne Perez at New Year's Evil.

It was reported heading into the match that Giulia was dealing with an injury issue and would need to take time off. Bryan Alvarez has added on Wrestling Observer Live that Giulia was booked to lose the NXT Women's Championship because she is also dealing with a minor visa issue.

"Giulia, there are two things going on. There is some minor, I was told, visa issue and there is also an injury which is listed internally as undisclosed," Alvarez said.

Giulia joined WWE in 2024, making her NXT debut at No Mercy in September. She had previously been one of the top stars for STARDOM and in Rossy Ogawa's splinter promotion, Marigold.
