Yet another New Japan Pro-Wrestling star is approaching the end of their contract, with Gabe Kidd nearing the end of his deal.

January is traditionally contract renegotiation time for NJPW, with Kidd the latest name revealed to be nearing the end of their contract. Per a report from Fightful Select, NJPW will be hoping to retain Kidd’s services, with the current NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion earmarked for big things in the company, such as his forthcoming singles bout against a returning Kenny Omega at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5 in the Tokyo Dome.

Since returning to NJPW and forming the War Dogs branch of Bullet Club, Kidd has become one of the hottest young prospects in the company, with the outspoken Englishman having also made several appearances for All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor as part of the working relationship between NJPW and AEW/ROH.

Kidd joins the likes of TJP and Kevin Knight as talents with expiring deals. NJPW deals traditionally start and end between January and March, with 2024 seeing the likes of Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada depart the organisation following the expiration of their deals.
