Gunther Comments On Kazuchika Okada Potentially Joining WWE

What does WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther think of the ex-New Japan modern great.

In a recent interview with Haus of Wrestling, reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther gave his thoughts on the idea of New Japan great Kazuchika Okada joining WWE.

Okada - one of New Japan's biggest stars, and one of the most critically-acclaimed wrestlers of the past decade - is currently a free agent in the global wrestling landscape, and his eventual destination remains unknown at the time of writing. Fan speculation sees him landing in either AEW or WWE. In regard to the latter coming true, Gunther had the following to say:

“I think Okada is fantastic. I've always loved Japanese wrestling. When I grew up in professional wrestling, understanding everything, I always enjoyed Japanese wrestling the most. I was more of an All Japan guy than a New Japan guy, to be honest. But yeah, he’s one of the best in the world, and if he joins WWE, he’s very welcome to, and I think he finds great competition here.”

Gunther's IC title reign recently passed 600 days, although a celebration ceremony on last night's Raw was crashed by Jey Uso - possibly signifying a title match at WrestleMania, although that remains to be seen.
