Update On WWE's Plans For Andrade

Following his Royal Rumble return, WWE have certain plans for Andrade in place.

WWE are said to have certain plans in place for Andrade, according to a report by PWInsider Elite which states:

"The current plan is for Andrade to be a babyface on the Monday Night Raw brand."

'El Idolo' made his in-ring return to WWE during this year's men's Royal Rumble match, entering at number three and lasting over 20 minutes, before eventually being eliminated by Bronson Reed. Although he notched zero eliminations during his stint, Andrade did garner a big reaction from those in attendance upon making his entrance.

The former NXT and United States Champion was granted his release by WWE in March 2021. He then signed a deal with AEW, making his debut for the company in June of that year, as well as wrestling occasionally in AAA.

Since reappearing in WWE, Andrade has teased a reunion with former heel manager Zelina Vega (now a babyface on SmackDown), asking the blue brand's GM Nick Aldis to say hi to her on his behalf. However, with PWInsider's report stating that WWE plan for Andrade to be a babyface on Raw, this could simply have been a nod to their shared past.

Since the Royal Rumble match, we are yet to see Andrade wrestle another bout in WWE - although it surely can't be too far away. His last singles match came on December 30 ,2023, losing to Miro in his farewell AEW bout at the Worlds End pay-per-view.
