Gunther Unsure Of WWE WrestleMania 40 Plans

Gunther doesn't know what his WWE WrestleMania 40 plans are

Gunther is unsure what his plans are for WWE WrestleMania 40.

After being asked on the Battleground Podcast about Chad Gable wanting to rekindle their programme and defeat him for the Intercontinental Title, Gunther said:

"I honestly gotta say, he's not the only one, I guess. That's just the life of a champion. A bunch of guys want a piece of them. That being said, I think he's a phenomenal athlete. He's a great technician, and the matches we had I think were phenomenal, and the audience enjoyed them all. So if it should come to that, for WrestleMania, then yeah, I'm here for it. But we have to see. I think there’' a few options in the pipeline. I don't know what's in store for 'Mania. But like I said, I think there's a bunch of guys. That's just the life of a champion. You are chased by some people that want that prize, and it keeps me on edge."

Original plans called for Gunther to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 40. Lesnar was implicated in the sex trafficking lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis in January 2024, however, and his WWE return at the Royal Rumble was scrapped as a result. WWE have since moved to distance themselves from Lesnar and Gunther admitted he is unsure if Lesnar will ever return to the company
