'Hectic' Backstage Environment At WWE NXT This Week

Hectic at WWE NXT

WWE NXT was very different to the usual show this week.

More and more main roster talents have been utilised on the Tuesday night series over the past several months, with the likes of Becky Lynch and members of the Judgment Day often appearing on NXT. Top stars appearing in the WWE Performance Center went into overdrive this week, though, as the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, and Paul Heyman were all brought in for NXT. The likes of Solo Sikoa, Shotzi, and Tegan Nox also made surprise appearances on the show.

The extra talents were brought in as WWE wanted to defeat AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday in the ratings war on October 10, which WWE NXT managed to decisively do. WWE were so excited for the occasion they even internally named this week's Tuesday night show 'NXTMania.'

Such a stacked show meant a chaotic atmosphere behind the scenes, with Bodyslam.net reporting the backstage environment was "hectic" and segments were frequently moved around when putting the episode of NXT together. WWE are happy with how the show came together, though, with an NXT source saying they thought the show was "pulled off amazingly," with particular praise being marked for the hot crowd inside the Performance Center.
