"Huge Improvements" Coming To Universe Mode In WWE 2K23

More options coming to Universe mode in WWE 2K23

"Huge improvements" are said to be coming to Universe Mode in WWE 2K23.

Creative Director at Visual Concepts Lynell Jinks recently spoke to Screen Rant and revealed there will be more options for players when it comes to telling a story in Universe Mode in WWE 2K23. Unlike in past years, players will now be able to select certain cutscenes and actions that will affect how a rivalry plays out.

"With Universe, there's some huge improvements that we made there to help tell the story and give users even more control than they've already had, which is crazy to think about. You can have actions that you want certain Superstars to perform before a match, like, 'Okay, I want Bobby Lashley to shake hands with MVP before the match, but at the last second, I want him to just punch him.' Like, those are actions that you can actually assign to that match and watch those cutscenes play out and see how that kind of dictates your rivalry," Jinks said.

Universe Mode has been a part of WWE video games since SmackDown vs. Raw 2011. The mode allows players to control every aspect of WWE from shows to titles to rivalries.

WWE 2K23 will be released on March 17 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as Windows PC.
