A major movie on Hulk Hogan's high-profile court case against Gawker is currently in the works, with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Artist Equity production company picking up the screenplay for Killing Gawker.
Affleck is tipped to play The Hulkster himself, while Damon will supposedly portray Peter Thiel, the co-founder of PayPal who funded Hogan's lawsuit against the website.
Hogan won his lawsuit against Gawker, which he filed after the site published portions of a secretly-recorded sex tape involving the WWE Hall of Famer and Heather Clem (the then-wife of Hulk's former friend Todd "Bubba The Love Sponge" Clem). Hogan was ultimately awarded $140 million, which led to Gawker closing in August 2016.
Quoting sources close to Hogan, TMZ have reported that the 71-year-old has no involvement in the mooted motion picture and is currently feeling "indifferent" about it. However, if the film treads into territory that infringes upon his right to privacy, Hogan is willing to pursue legal action against the filmmakers.
TMZ's sources also noted that Hogan is in a good place in his life at the moment. Newly married to his third wife, he has become more spiritual and is doing charitable work with a homeless shelter in Tampa, Florida.
Hogan is also busy with his Real American Beer brand, which encountered some controversy recently when it was forced to deny that a firing was not racially motivated. Hogan also recently took a photo with a fan who was a neo-Nazi and had an SS tattoo on his right arm.
