A Cody Rhodes heel turn has long been speculated upon both within and outside of WWE, with The Rock having previously pushed for the former Undisputed WWE Champion to turn to the dark side.
Rhodes rejected a heel turn earlier this year, but Cody has since admitted that he believes he is at the tail end of his babyface run in WWE. This, combined with John Cena's teases of returning to a babyface role, has only fuelled speculation that a double turn could be on the cards for SummerSlam when Cody challenges Cena for the Undisputed WWE Title.
Fans shouldn't expect a double turn at SummerSlam, however, as BodySlam has reported that there are currently no plans for Cody Rhodes to turn heel at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Rhodes and Cena will be the final match at SummerSlam, with BodySlam noting their Street Fight is scheduled to main event night two of SummerSlam. The pay-per-view will emanate from MetLife Stadium on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3.
Cody Rhodes has been a babyface for the past several years and he was infamously reluctant to turn heel during his time in All Elite Wrestling. The last time Cody was a heel was back in 2018 during his time in Bullet Club.
