IMPACT's Trey Miguel: "The X-Division Championship Means More To Me Than Any Other Championship In Pro Wrestling"

The X-Division Title is the goal

Over his two runs with IMPACT Wrestling, Trey Miguel has often found himself in and around the X-Division Title picture. He competed for the championship multiple times in 2020, including on pay-per-view at Hard To Kill, and he almost earned a title shot recently at No Surrender 2021 in a Triple Threat Revolver match.

Miguel was a recent guest on the Wrestling Perspective podcast and he noted the X-Division Championship holds a place in his heart and is his favourite title in wrestling.

"That's a big part of my goal, the X-Division Championship, honestly, I feel like it kind of went unpaid off last year in my feud with Ace Austin. I felt like we had a lot of potential for growth and to get more out of where we were going, but I didn't accomplish getting the X-Division Championship. All my favourite wrestlers have had the X-Division belt... The X-Division Championship means more to me than any other Championship in pro wrestling. I'm not going to become X-Division Champion in NXT, that's just not going to happen. That's not how it works. That physical Championship holds a place in my heart. I have to have that one day... I just want to see that through."
