IMPACT World Title Match Confirmed For Slammiversary 2021

The match is on!

The main event for Slammiversary 2021 has been made official as IMPACT World Champion Kenny Omega defends the title against Sami Callihan.

Callihan, who earned the spot after Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson attacked him during a match with Moose, giving him a disqualification victory, saw his challenge for Omega's Championship locked in on Thursday's IMPACT Wrestling.

The Draw had been fired by IMPACT Executive Don Callis at the end of IMPACT Against All Odds last weekend, having attacked Omega at Daily's Place.

However, Callis' attempts to keep Callihan away from Omega have backfired heavily as Scott D'Amore revealed Anthem were sending a representative down to the IMPACT Zone to deal with the situation. That representative turned out to be Tommy Dreamer, who reinstated Callihan and fired Callis from his position.

As a result of Dreamer's decision, Callihan's place as the number one contender also remains in place. This means he will face Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship at Slammiversary on July 17, 2021.
