Injured WWE NXT Talent Makes Return In Dark Match

A WWE developmental talent made their return from injury during a dark match ahead of Tuesday night's episode of NXT from the WWE Performance Center.

Javier Bernal, who had been on the shelf for several months, was in action on the show as he went one-on-one with Saquon Shugars, a talent who had been out of action due to injury for 10 months.

Bernal acknowledged his return on social media, retweeting several photos of himself on X/Twitter. He also wrote: "I guess yall heard."

Bernal suffered a broken foot during a June 2024 match on NXT Level Up and he underwent surgery soon after. Bernal - a former hair model - signed with WWE in 2021 after taking part in a tryout ahead of that year's SummerSlam. Bernal briefly had short hair in WWE after being ordered to cut his hair by John Laurinaitis.

Saquon Shugars (FKA Lucky Ali) signed with WWE in late 2023. He only had four matches in the company before sustaining a serious knee injury.
