NXT Wrestler Suffers Broken Foot, Several Surgeries Needed

An NXT wrestler will be out of action due to a broken foot

The injury curse has hit an NXT star, as developmental wrestler Javier Bernal has revealed that he has suffered a broken foot and will require surgery. The NXT wrestler, who has been signed to WWE since 2021, was competing in a match on the Level Up show in tag team action, teaming up with Drake Morreaux to take on Chase U’s Duke Hudson and Riley Osbourne, when he broke his foot mid-match.

On his Twitch channel, Bernal went into some more detail about his mindset after suffering the injury, and went on to explain that he will need multiple surgeries due to the extent of his break.

“It stinks. It is what it is. I found out, what is it, two days ago that I broke it in a few places. And initially I was told that I probably wasn’t going to need surgery. But then the next day the MRI was a little cloudy and they looked at it and it looks like I probably will have surgery on my foot.”

He would also take to social media, thanking fans for their support, and saying that despite being frustrated, he is excited to give the fans someone to believe in.
