Is Shawn Michaels Banned From Saying 'Suck It' On WWE TV?

Are WWE down with that?

NXT Deadline kicked off this past Saturday with Shawn Michaels being interrupted by CM Punk.

The Straight-Edge Superstar apologised for seemingly cutting off the Heartbreak Kid's DX-style introduction, before asking Michaels if he was about to say 'suck it'.

WWE's Executive Vice President Talent Development Creative then awkwardly laughed, before Punk asked him if it was something he can no longer say. Michaels responded by saying 'Hell, I forgot'.

According to a report from Haus of Wrestling (citing an unnamed WWE source), the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is, indeed, allowed to say 'suck it' on WWE television.

It added that doing so likely did not fit the moment as it is a catchphrase usually used to end segments, while theirs was just getting started.

In addition, it was noted that Punk was at the show's venue for most of the day and was great around everyone, including Paul 'Triple H' Levesque.

Punk's appearance doesn't appear to have been well-known and caught many people off guard. The 45-year-old shared a heartfelt moment with Cora Jade while backstage.
