Jade Cargill Replaced As WWE Women's Tag Team Champion
Bianca Belair has a new Tag Team Champion partner

Jade Cargill was ruled out of action a few weeks ago, being ‘attacked’ backstage and laid out on top of a car. There were conflicting reports on the legitimacy of an injury announced to Cargill, with some noting that she was set to be out of the ring for an extended period of time, whereas others were claiming the injury was a work. It was noted over the last week or so that Cargill was internally listed on WWE’s injury list, suggesting that it is in fact legit.
On last night’s Friday Night SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis informed Bianca Belair that she would have to be stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Championships due to Cargill’s condition. Her friend and ally Naomi intervened, stating that she could step into Cargill’s spot and take her place as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, saying that it had been done before. Nick Aldis gave in but said that the pair needed to be fighting champions and would defend the gold next week on SmackDown.
This makes Naomi a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, previously reigning alongside Sasha Banks before the pair walked out of WWE and gave up the titles due to creative frustrations. Previously, Piper Niven replaced the injured Sonya Deville to become one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Chelsea Green.
