Report: Bronson Reed Vs. Seth Rollins Was Originally Planned For WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
There was originally a different plan for Saturday Night's Main Event
Dec 14, 2024
WWE’s reboot of Saturday Night’s Main Event is approaching, taking place live on NBC and on WWE’s official YouTube channel later tonight at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The event will feature Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending against Kevin Owens, World Heavyweight Championship Gunther taking on both Finn Balor and Damian Priest, Liv Morgan putting her Women’s World Championship on the line against Iyo Sky, and the finals the Women’s United States Title tournament.
The most recent match added to Saturday Night’s Main Event is a grudge bout between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn, though this was not the original plan for the card. It was reported last week that McIntyre’s recent return was brought about due to the injury suffered by Bronson Reed at Survivor Series: War Games, and this is also connected to the match being booked at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
PWInsider are reporting that a rematch with Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed was originally slated for the show in what was set to be the feud-ender between the pair, but this was taken off the show and replaced with McIntyre vs. Zayn.
