Jakara Jackson was one of the various names released from WWE’s developmental brand back in May, alongside other NXT superstars such as Oro Mensah, Riley Osbourne, Javier Bernal, Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, and Eddy Thorpe. It was reported soon after that there were many of those in WWE shocked by her release due to pitches of her receiving a main roster call up in the near future alongside tag team partner Lash Legend.
Jackson declared her interest in winning gold after leaving WWE, with her attention focused on remaining in the professional wrestling world. She also revealed her new ring name of Mara Sadè in the month following her release. She has now taken her first steps into a post-WWE career, competing in her first match away from the company.
She teamed up with Tiara James to defeat the duo of Rhio and JGU at a 4th Rope Wrestling event in Paris, France yesterday. Being a product of the WWE Performance Center, this is her first match full stop outside of the WWE system, having not competed on the indies prior to joining the promotion.
