Jesse Ventura Returning To WWE Commentary At Saturday Night's Main Event
Jesse Ventura returning for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Dec 6, 2024
Jesse Ventura will soon be back on WWE TV, with it being announced by WWE that 'The Body' will 'return to the broadcast announce table' for Saturday Night's Main Event.
The reboot of Saturday Night's Main Event will take place on Saturday, December 14 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Ventura was an interviewer and announcer on the original run of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in the 1980s. How involved he will be on December 14 is unknown but past reports have noted he would be utilised in an interview segment or to announce a match.
Jesse Ventura had a love/hate relationship with the company when Vince McMahon ran WWE due to Ventura successfully suing McMahon for unpaid royalties in the 1990s, as well as Ventura's failed attempt to set up a wrestler's union.
McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman in January 2024, ending his day-to-day involvement with WWE in the process. Ventura has since attended the July 29 episode of Monday Night Raw in Saint Paul, Minnesota and he signed a WWE Legends deal in October.
Four matches have been announced for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, although one more match will reportedly be added to the show. Hulk Hogan is also being discussed to appear at the event.
