Jey Uso will look to capture the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.

Jey Uso opened the February 10 edition of Monday Night Raw and he was promptly interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who battered Uso around ringside. After Gunther was escorted away by security, Jey Uso announced he was choosing Gunther as his opponent for WrestleMania 41. Uso then stood tall, hitting a dive on Gunther.

It was expected that Uso would select the World Heavyweight Championship as the belt he would challenge for at WrestleMania 41. Whether the match will be taking place on Saturday, April 19 or Sunday, April 20 inside Allegiant Stadium has yet to be announced.

Jey Uso earned a title shot at WrestleMania 41 courtesy of his win in the Men's Royal Rumble Match, last eliminating John Cena.

Jey Uso has an 0-3 record against Gunther, having lost to 'Der Ring General' on three occasions over the past year. Gunther first defeated Jey Uso on the February 19, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw to retain the Intercontinental Title. Gunther then defeated Jey Uso for a second time in May 2024 in the King of the Ring semi-finals. Gunther won the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam and he retained the belt against Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25, 2025.
