John Cena 'Very High' On Je'Von Evans

Je'Von Evans has already established himself as a popular figure amongst WWE fans, and the NXT talent has a big supporter within the company.

Evans was involved in the main event match of John Cena's final Raw as he faced Gunther in the Last Time is Now Tournament. Evans' involvement may have been due to Cena, as the 17-time world champion is "very, very high" on Je'Von, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio.

"I was also told that John Cena, he went down to developmental and everything, and apparently he's very, very high on Je'Von. Sheamus had a match with him at a house show and Sheamus was raving about him," Alvarez said.

John Cena visited the WWE Performance Center on two occasions in October and he thanked the developmental talents, tweeting:

"Being coachable can open our minds to learn. Thank you to all the superstars at the WWE PC for sharing with me different perspectives of our business. I spent the week digesting their feedback & was grateful to be able to return today for another chance to learn & share wisdom."

John Cena will retire from pro wrestling on the December 13 episode of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. In addition to Cena's retirement match, the show will feature main roster vs. NXT exhibition matches, and the matches were reportedly Cena's idea due to his positive experiences at the WWE Performance Center.

WWE could be set to honour Cena in 2026 as he is likely to be the headline name of next year's WWE Hall of Fame class.
