Jon Moxley To Face Josh Barnett At GCW Bloodsport 6

Will it finally happen?

An intended battle between Jon Moxley and Josh Barnett has kept getting postponed for one reason or another. But that isn't stopping the two from trying to make it happen.

After Moxley defeated Davey Boy Smith Jr in the main event of Bloodsport 5 on Saturday night in Los Angeles, Barnett stated that he and Moxley would finally square off, and they'll do so during WrestleMania week.

Moxley and Barnett's fight will headline GCW Bloodsport 6. The event takes place on Thursday, April 8 at The Cuban Club in Tampa, as part of GCW's "The Collective".

The two were originally supposed to face off in Septmeber 2019, but Moxley had to pull out due to a MRSA infection in his elbow. The fight was then rescheduled for WrestleMania weekend in 2020, but couldn't take place after the pandemic shut everything down.

Barnett has fought twice before in these "Bloodsport" events, drawing Minoru Suzuki two years ago, and defeating Chris Dickinson in September 2019.

Moxley made his Bloodsport debut in October, defeating Dickinson, prior to his win over Smith Saturday.
