Jon Moxley To Face Will Ospreay At NJPW Windy City Riot

Moxley vs. Ospreay is on for NJPW Windy City Riot

NJPW have confirmed that Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay will wrestle for the first time ever at the upcoming Windy City Riot show on April 16.

The match comes after weeks call outs from Ospreay, with the ‘Commonwealth Kingpin’ shouting out Moxley whenever he was near a mic, in both NJPW and RevPro. Moxley finally responded via video, telling Ospreay  that "We can do it at New Japan Windy City Riot or we can do it in the parking lot” before promising to pound Ospreay “into the ground like a railroad spike.”

This will be the first ever in-ring meeting of Moxley and Ospreay, and is considered by many a modern-day dream match.

This will also serve as Moxley’s return to a New Japan ring, having last wrestled on NJPW STRONG in October 2021, where Mox and Eddie Kingston lost to Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer) in a Philadelphia Street Fight, before Moxley checked himself in to a facility to treat his alcohol dependency.
