Jonathan Gresham Continues To Campaign For ROH World Title Match Against CM Punk, Bryan Danielson

Jonathan Gresham still wants to face CM Punk and Bryan Danielson

Since winning the Original ROH World Championship at Final Battle in December of 2021, Jonathan Gresham has repeatedly campaigned for matches against CM Punk and Bryan Danielson so he can restore the prestige of the title, as well as prove he is the best in the world.

Gresham has continued his campaign for the match, saying to WrestleTalk following his PROGRESS World Title win: "At the end of Final Battle, my goal was and still is to bring honour and prestige back to the Ring of Honor World Championship, and the only way for me to do that is to wrestle two men. To face CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. That's the only way I'm going to be able to restore honour to the Ring of Honor World Championship.

"So I'm waiting for those two matches and in time, those two matches will happen. But at the moment I have to fight and wrestle some of the best the world has to offer, so that's what I'm doing. I asked for it and companies from all over the world have asked to host Ring of Honor World Title matches. So that's what you've been seeing the last few months."

While the matches initially appeared to be unlikely with both Danielson and Punk in All Elite Wrestling, the odds of Gresham getting his wish dramatically increased a couple of weeks ago when AEW President Tony Khan announced he was the new owner of Ring Of Honor.
