Julia Hart Wins AEW TBS Championship At Full Gear
The House of Black gains a new belt as Julia Hart wins at AEW Full Gear
Julia Hart is the new AEW TBS Women's Champion, after defeating champion Kris Statlander and fellow challenger Skye Blue in a triple threat match at AEW Full Gear on Saturday night in Inglewood, CA.
Late in the match, Statlander planted Blue with the Saturday Night Fever and went for the pin, but Hart clotheslined Statlander off of the pinfall attempt, and then pinned Blue herself to win the title.
With the win, Hart captures their first championship of any kind in AEW. Her three House of Black teammates (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) previously reigned as Trios Tag Team champions for much of 2023. Black and King were unsuccessful in their attempt to capture the Tag Team titles in a four way ladder match earlier in the night.
Statlander's reign as TBS Women's champion ends after 174 days. She won the title the previously-undefeated Jade Cargill at AEW Double or Nothing on May 28 in Las Vegas, before later defeating Cargill in her final AEW match.
