Toni Storm Regains AEW Women's World Title At Full Gear

"Timeless" Toni Storm is now a three time AEW Women's World champion

Toni Storm is the new AEW Women's World champion, after defeating Hikaru Shida at AEW Full Gear on Saturday night in Inglewood, CA.

Late in the match, as Shida fended off interference from Luther by attacking him with her kendo stick at ringside, Storm took a small metal tray from her personal effects, and shoved it into her tights. After countering Shida's attempt at the Katana kick, Storm ended up knocking Shida out with the corner hip attack (using the concealed tray) to win the title.

After the match, Mariah May came to the ring, bringing Storm a bouquet of flowers.

With the win, Storm joins Shida as the second individual to hold the AEW Women's World title on three occasions. She previously reigned from September to November 2022, and from May to August 2023 (where she dropped the title to Shida).

Shida's third reign as Women's World champion ends after 39 days. She won the title from Saraya on the "Title Tuesday" edition of AEW Dynamite in suburban Kansas City.
