Montez Ford Feels The Street Profits Were "Stagnant" Before Heel Turn

The Street Profits were frustrated in WWE prior to turning heel

The Street Profits turned heel in 2023 for the first time on the main roster, aligning themselves with Bobby Lashley on SmackDown. This has seen a new attitude, altered presentation, and a refresh. The Street Profits recently spoke to the Metro about this new heel turn, with Montez Ford revealing that the pair felt stagnant before turning heel.

“I think it’s kinda like an easy transition because we were able to apply what we’ve been feeling internally to what’s happening on camera. For the last couple of years, Street Profits have had a tremendous amount of success but in a way it’s kinda stagnant, just got idle for a little while. With that grows frustration and anger, because with the hunger to wanna do more, to advance and have more accomplishments in life, that frustration starts to grow.”

Since turning heel, the Profits and Lashley have feuded with the likes of the LWO. Ford & Angelo Dawkins also recently became number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
